This topic is for discussing, planning, and sharing past and future shamanistic experiences.
I'd like to start out by reminding everyone to research their power animal, if they found one. I found out that tree frogs only come down from the trees to mate, and are common all over the world in temperate climates. They aren't all green (though mine was, and many common to the southeast are), and in fact many of them are capable of changing color at will! They're also nocturnal. The beetle I fed to my froggy friend in my vision would in fact make an excellent meal for the average tree frog, which is only about an inch an a half long! Like most frogs they have very powerful legs, and they also have very effective suction pads on their digits, which are opposable. Despite being brightly colored, most tree frogs lack venom; rather, they rely on camouflage to avoid confrontations, or suddenly reveal their brighter colorings to startle predetors who see through their initial ruse (the red-eyed tree frog has only to open it's peepers to startle it's foe). They have keen vision, which they use to hunt at night.
And they are rediculously cute!

Troy, it would be awesome if you could post the mp3s we used for our journey's saturday (sunday? The days are a little blurry…). No hurry :) I'm poking around on the internet for good sites, as well – perhaps you've already got a few favorite resources you'd like to share?
Thanks to Troy for providing a space, context, and direction for these journeys, and to everyone who participated! Lets hear some stories!
